WinSum documentation
WinSum is a platform for window and door manufacturers: a product configurator, material and cost calculation, cutting optimisation, stock, orders and documents.
Below are all the documentation sections.
Sections#
- Prices and markups — what makes up the price of a product, how the cost factor differs from a pricing rule, how to set a markup without breaking old prices.
- Discounts — five ways to lower the price for a customer and when each one fits.
- Services and surcharges — installation, measuring and delivery as separate lines; surcharges for bending and arched cutting.
- Catalogue and price lists — what the catalogue consists of, what comes with the platform and what a company enters itself; tiers and price by colour; uploading a price list as a file.
- The product configurator — how to assemble a product: the overall size, dividing into cells, sashes and openings, the door pair, arches and the threshold.
- Orders and documents — the path of an order from creation to closing, items and services, which documents the system issues, prepayment and the balance due.
- Cutting and stock — why it pays off to cut an order as a whole, stock bar lengths, the cutting map, the saw kerf and what stock accounting can do.
- Plans and payment — what the plans include, what they cost and how to go through the payment from start to finish.
- Notifications — what the bell in the header reports: catalogue changes, support replies, platform announcements.
Where a new company starts#
Three things without which the calculation will not work:
- Ценовое правило. Справочники → Ценовые правила. Without an active rule the calculation will not get a price and will stay a draft.
- Производственные параметры. Настройки компании → Производственные параметры: the cost factor, the saw kerf, logistics, the fitter's wage, tax.
- The catalogue. Profile systems, materials, colours and glass units — otherwise there is nothing to build a product from.
